Vegan friends and vegans wannabes, rejoice.
by Chloe., the coolest vegan cafe on social media, is travelling to London from the other side of the Atlantic – and it’s here to stay.
After conquering the cool kids of Los Angeles, New York and Boston, the restaurant founded by vegan chef (and Forbes 30 and 30) Chloe Coscarelli chose London to bring their super instagrammable cuisine to Europe (we can still say we’re in, until we eventually reach Brexit-point?).
The restaurant is set to open in Covent Garden in January 2018 and promises to make the Brits forget about fish and chips with its vegan delicacies. by Chloe.’s cooking is also organic and free of artificial flavours and preservatives – perfect for our health-junky tastebuds.
“London seems like a perfect fit for our first international location” Samantha Wasser – Co-founder of by Chloe. – told The Independent, “The thriving dining scene, the culture and the fashion all make London the ideal city filled with diners with a growing curiosity for vegan and plant-based cuisine.”
And she is right. A 2016 study from Vegan Society reports that the number of vegans in the UK has risen by 360% in the last ten years. With 22% of them living in the capital, it seems like a no-brainer.
If someone could transport me back to LA right now so I wouldn’t have to sit my exams, that would be great tnx 😬 @eatbychloe . . . . #vegan #veganfoodshare #veganfoodporn #whatveganseat #bychloe #veganlosangeles #burritobowl #veganburger #carbthefuckup #veganjunkfood #vegandublin #veganireland #galway #dublin #forksoverknives #cowspiracy #hclf #highcarbvegan #veganthanksgiving #avocado #losangeleseats #cleaneats #plantbased #dairyfree #801010 #irishfoodie #veganfoodie #treatyoself #friendsnotfood
The London restaurant will be the brand’s 8th location in the world and is set to seat 70 guests in addition to the takeaway service.
Each branch usually has a couple of plates typical to the city (eg. lobster roll in Boston). Will they try to recreate fish and chips? I personally can’t wait to wrap my hands around the guacamole burger, accompanied by a side of sweet potatoes fries. I’ll see you there!
The cafe will open in January 2018 at Drury House, 34-43 Russell Street, London WC2B 5HA
